Hope tells story of Knock impact
A docudrama on the story and history of Ireland’s National Marian Shrine is due to be released early next year.
Titled Hope, the EWTN Ireland film looks at the apparitions at Knock, Co Mayo, and the wider social and historical context of Ireland at the time.
Hope was filmed in Ireland with local actors and crew and has been written and directed by Co Down man Campbell Miller whose last film, Bravery Under Fire, detailed the life of Fr Willie Doyle.
“It is a great honour to be given the task to tell the story,” Miller said. “This one supernatural moment changed life in Ireland forever, giving the Irish people hope and comfort in one of the darkest times in our history.
“Our filming demonstrated to us that Knock, even today in Ireland’s secular society, has its place in the heart of the Irish,” Mr Miller added.
The docudrama will cover the two investigations and show with definitive proof that Our Lady did appear that night.
Hope will be released in early 2020.Tags: EWTN, hope, Ireland, knock
