Corrie’s Ben Price shines a light on hidden hunger in Uganda
He is most recognisable as Coronation Street’s Nick Tilsley but actor Ben Price has recently adopted a more humbling role.
As an official ambassador for CAFOD, Ben is using his fame to highlight the daily struggles faced by Ugandan people.
The African country of Uganda is one of the poorest nations in the world and a recent drought has left thousands under threat of starvation – with many surviving on less than 75 pence per day.
Ben travelled to Karamoja to see first-hand how the communities were coping with severe hunger and dehydration. He is backing CAFOD’s Dig Deep campaign, which starts next month, raising funds to help some of the world’s poorest communities.
